Robert
T. Kleinpaste
Mr. Kleinpaste has over thirty years of experience in
all facets of residential real estate. Prior to co-founding
Chesapeake Capital Partners, he was president of a large privately
held regional home building company with operations in the
Mid-Atlantic states; president of Legg Mason Realty Group,
Inc. (one of the largest real estate advisory organizations
in the U.S.), a subsidiary of the regional investment banking
firm, Legg Mason, Inc., based in Baltimore, Maryland; and
president and founder of Real Property Research Group, Inc.,
a real estate advisory firm which he sold to Legg Mason in
1986. Mr. Kleinpaste has also held various management positions
in the sales and marketing departments of major homebuilding
companies. His focus at Chesapeake Capital is on the pipeline
of investment ventures through his strong network of contacts
in the home building and development communities in the Mid-Atlantic
and Southeast. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree from
the University of Maryland.

Daniel
P. McGrain
Mr. McGrain has been active since 1981 in the acquisition,
development, financial analysis, and syndication of real estate.
His professional experience includes twenty years in the Mid-Atlantic
and Southeast regions. Prior to co-founding Chesapeake Capital
Partners in 1997, Mr. McGrain held various land acquisition,
investment and development positions with prominent land development
and home building companies in the Mid-Atlantic and Texas.
Mr. McGrain also works on business development, on the underwriting
of all new investments, and in asset management of the Chesapeake
portfolio. He is a graduate of the Indiana University Business
School and the Southern Methodist University Cox School of
Business, holding a BSBA, MBA and MS in Real Estate degrees.

Matthew
D. Brunner
Mr. Brunner has over twenty years of diversified financial
experience with specific expertise in mergers and acquisitions,
financial analysis and modeling, structured financings and
private equity administration. Prior to co-founding Chesapeake
Capital Partners in 1997, Mr. Brunner was the Chief Financial
Officer and an equity partner of a large regional venture
capital firm with over $200 million under management. His
professional experience also includes two years as the Chief
Financial Officer of a privately held software company and
nearly eight years in various positions with the international
accounting and consulting firm of Ernst & Young. Mr. Brunner
focuses on investor relations, financial structuring of the
funds and the projects, debt acquisition, and asset management.
He also runs Chesapeake Capital’s Private Utility Assessment
business. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree, cum laude, in
Economics from Gettysburg College, and a Masters degree in
Business Administration from the University of Maryland. He
is a member of Phi Beta Kappa and a certified public accountant.
